Datalogic Magellan 8400 product brief
The 8400 Series can be configured to use Datalogic-specific, patented All-Weighs technology®An electronic dial scanner or scanner/electronic scale combination to ensure that batch and bulk food can be accurately weighed at the payment station. Dual electronic scale displays are available; single display on a single column and dual display on a single column are suitable for applications that require separate displays for cashiers and customers. Magellan 8400 model is available in three lengths: long, medium and short (scanner only, without electronic scale) to adapt to various POS configurations.
Flash storage can easily upgrade software and help extend the life of a retailer's investment. In addition, the auxiliary RS -232 port can be used in a variety of ways, including adding a handheld scanner, programming and configuring the scanner, or accessing the data output of the scanner tag. For applications that require an electronic article anti-theft system (EAS), the 8400 can have a built-in Checkpoint EAS or after-sales integrated Sensormatic EAS antenna, and can provide a signal of successful barcode reading through the auxiliary RS-232 port.
