Zebra launches Asset Visualization Service (AVS)

Zebra announced the further expansion of its OneCare management services portfolio, the launch of a new asset visualization service (Asset Visibility Service, referred to as AVS), designed to enhance the performance of Zebra's mobile smart terminals and thermal printers. AVS provides insight into the health, utilization and availability of Zebra's equipment in the customer's application environment, driving productivity and operational efficiency.

AVS can take advantage of pre-installed applications that come with zebra devices in the factory. When the application is activated, AVS can quickly and easily provide asset visualization information to retailers, manufacturers, healthcare institutions, transportation and logistics companies, etc. without lengthy configuration or debugging procedures. With Zebra's innovative Cloud and Big Data-based Asset Visibility Platform (AVP) capabilities, AVS provides quick-to-view dashboards that show the utilization, performance, availability, and more of business-critical assets. With advanced predictive analytics, AVS provides recommendations to help customers and partners maximize operational performance. This new affordable service is ideal for customers and channel partners to gain valuable business-critical data on device health and usage without the bi-directional remote management capabilities of more expensive mobile smart terminal management (MDM) tools.
