1. The printed content is different, and the scope of use is also different.
The difference in printing accuracy and printing methods determines that the production range of their applications will also be different. The contents printed by the bar code printer include commodity packaging, carton outer packaging, electrical appliances, brand identification, commodity identification, bar code identification, management, production, jewelry, clothing tags, tickets and other labels and bar codes are all printed by the bar code printer.
2. The printing method is different, simply speaking, the working principle is different. This determines the different scope of their application.
Bar code printer is printed with carbon tape or thermal paper. This form of printing, so that it can be continuous high-speed, even in the case of unattended can continue to work. However, ordinary printers cannot do this.
The paper used is different.
Barcode printers can print many materials, such as PET, copper paperboard, thermal paper adhesive labels, synthetic materials such as polyester and PVC, and water-washed label fabrics. 4. Strong printing accuracy
The "black and white bars" (or "empty bars") in the bar code represent information according to their different width changes. Therefore, the accuracy of the respective widths of the "black and white bars" has a great impact on the reading of the bar code. Only precise accuracy can guarantee the identification and reading of the bar code. This accuracy is determined by the barcode software and the associated printer. Professional barcode printing software calculates the width of black and white bars according to the accuracy of the printer and the barcode data designed by the user. When printing, it is controlled by the barcode production function of the printer to ensure that the printed barcode is consistent with the designed barcode. An ordinary printer prints the bar code as a complete image onto the label paper. In this way, it is a bit difficult to read input devices such as scanning guns.
5. Print speed and print volume are different
Under the correct mode of operation and good maintenance, the barcode printer can work 24 hours a day, and the amount of printing is unlimited. Barcode printers print faster than ordinary printers. Support the printing of serial numbers (bar code variability), can save the label format edited by the user in advance, or call the data in the database for batch and continuous printing. Bar code printer is a label (roll) as a unit for printing, ordinary printers are single printing, it can be seen that the bar code printer and ordinary printer is still very different.
