With proper maintenance, the life of the print head can be extended.

● Scratch-The long-term movement of the ribbon through the barcode print head will wear the protective layer of the ceramic coating, thereby exposing the needle (dot) of the barcode print head and eventually damaging it.

●To avoid wear, clean the barcode print head frequently, and use a high-quality smooth and thermally transferable ribbon with a liner film to reduce friction; wide to prevent the barcode print head from being scratched by the label.

● The back of the ribbon is dirty. During the printer process, the ribbon will leave a lot of powder on the glue stick. If it is not cleaned in time, the print head will be damaged, so the bar code printer glue stick must be cleaned regularly.

●Some customers have a large amount of printing, so they will adjust the printing speed of the printer to a very fast speed, which will also shorten the life of the print head (printing speed, it is recommended to use the default setting)
