Why does the thermal label paper print blank? Reason and treatment method

Want to know whether the thermal paper printer is malfunctioning, you must first know the working principle of the thermal label paper printer.

The working principle of the thermal label paper printer is that the semiconductor heating element is installed on the print head, and the print head can print the required pattern after heating and contacting the thermal printing paper. The principle is similar to that of the thermal fax machine. The image is generated by heating to produce a chemical reaction in the film. This chemical reaction is carried out at a certain temperature. High temperatures accelerate this chemical reaction. When the temperature is lower than 60 ℃, the paper needs a long time, even up to several years to become dark; and when the temperature is 200 ℃, this reflection will be completed in a few microseconds.

The thermal paper printer selectively heats the thermal paper at a determined position, thereby generating a corresponding pattern. Heating is provided by a small electrical heater on the printhead in contact with the heat sensitive material. The form of the heater is logically controlled by the printer in the form of square points or bars. When driven, a graphic corresponding to the heating element is generated on the thermal paper. The same logic circuit that controls the heating element also controls the paper feed, so that graphics can be printed on the entire label or paper.

Causes and solutions of printing blanks in thermal label paper

In the process of printing, many users have said that they have encountered the situation of not typing words and printing blank. The following are the possible reasons and solutions:

1. Determine whether the purchased thermal paper is a special thermal machine printing paper. The judgment method: scratch the paper with fingernails or sharp objects, and black marks will appear, as if writing on white paper with a pencil. If there are traces, it means that thermal paper can be purchased, otherwise try to change to thermal paper.

2. Normal entry and exit of thermal paper does not necessarily result in normal pressure of the printer roller. Disassemble and check whether the roller is pressed on the thermal paper surface when the printer is working. Otherwise, the print head cannot contact the thermal paper, and no matter how hot it is, it will not help.

3. If the thermal printer is in the form of ribbon, it is necessary to check whether the ribbon can be transferred normally when the printer is working. If not, try to replace it with a new one.

4. If the possibility of the above three reasons is excluded, it is very likely that the print head of the thermal printer is broken and there is no way to print. It is recommended to guarantee or replace it with a new one.

Cleaning and maintenance method of thermal label paper printer

When the thermal paper printer is used for a period of time, the printer has one of the following situations: the printing is not clear, a certain column of the printed page is not clear vertically, and the paper feeding noise is large, the print head should be cleaned:

1. Turn off the power of the printer, open the upper cover, and remove the paper if there is paper;

If you have just finished printing, you should wait for the print head to cool down completely;

3. Use a soft cotton cloth dipped in anhydrous ethanol (should be wrung out) to erase the dust and stains on the surface of the print head;

4. After waiting for anhydrous ethanol to volatilize completely, close the upper cover and retry the machine to print.
