What is the working principle of CCD barcode reader

Release Time:2020-07-21

What is a CCD barcode reader, CCD is an electronic coupling device, which is more suitable for close-range and contact reading. Its price is not as expensive as a laser reader, and there are no moving parts inside.

The working principle of CCD bar code reader: using one or more LED, the light emitted can cover the whole bar code, the image of the bar code is transmitted to a row of light detectors, sampled by each individual photoelectric double excitation tube, and the detection result of the adjacent detector is "black" or "white" to distinguish each bar or empty, thus determining the character of the bar code, in other words, the CCD reader does not read every "bar" or "empty", but the entire part of the bar code and converts it into an electrical signal that can be decoded.

Compared with other readers, CCD barcode readers are cheaper, but they also have a wide range of barcode reading density and are easy to use. Its weight is lighter than the laser reader, and unlike the light pen can only touch reading.
