At present, the international one-dimensional bar code commonly used code system has eight:

① UPC code

In 1973, the United States took the lead in the domestic commercial system. The code system is mainly used in commercial systems. The code length is fixed to 12 bits.

② EAN code

In 1977, the countries of the European Economic Community formulated the European article code EAN code according to the UPC code standard. There are two types of EAN codes: EAN-13 codes and EAN-8 codes.

③ Cross 25 yards

The cross 25 code (Interleaved 2 of 5 Code) is a continuous self-checking digital code system with variable length.

④ 39 yards

Code 39 (Code 3 of 9) is a discrete self-checking alphabetic code system with variable length.

⑤ Kudba code (codabar)

Kudba code is a discrete self-checking digital code system with variable length. It is often used in the management of warehouses, blood banks and air express parcels.

⑥ 128 yards (Code128)

The 128 code (Code128) is a continuous alphanumeric code of variable length.
