What is the reason why the red light of TSC barcode printer is always on?

What is the reason why the TSC barcode printer keeps on red light? Hongxing Yongli's technical department has made a common arrangement. If the following reasons cannot be solved, please contact technical support.

The ERR light of TSC barcode printer is always on red, which may be due to the following reasons:

(1) The machine does not measure the paper correctly. Please press and hold the pause key to start the paper.

(2) The actual size of the label paper is not set correctly in the software. Please confirm whether the label width, height and spacing set in the software are the same as the size you actually use.

(3) The sensor type is not correctly selected, please confirm whether your label paper is spacing, black label, or continuous paper, and then select the corresponding sensor.

Common machine troubleshooting methods:

1. The error indicator (red light) is always on: check whether the printer printing mechanism is pressed tightly. (243 series: except TTP-244 Plus, TTP-243E Pro, TTP-342E Pro)

2. The error indicator light (red light) flashes: turn off the machine, initialize and correct the sensor. If the paper is normal, the possibility of hardware failure can be excluded. If the paper is not normal. Please check whether the consumables are installed normally and whether the paper matches the carbon tape.

1)TTP-244 Plus, TTP-243E Pro, TTP-342E Pro machine initialization, sensor calibration method

a) Press and hold the PAUSE and FEED keys with two fingers at the same time, do not let go, and start the machine at the same time.

B) When the three lights flash in turn, only release the FEED button. To leave the paper, you can release the PAUSE key. Normal paper output is about 2-3 label paper.

c) Press the FEED key, and the normal paper output is the height of one label. and stop at the normal tear position.

2)TDP-225, TDP-225W, TTP-225, TTP-244CE, TTP-245C, TTP-343C, TTP-247, TTP-345, T200;T300 model initialization, sensor calibration method

a) Press and hold the FEED button, do not let go, and start the machine at the same time. When the green light flashes, let go. Shut down.

B) When the label is printed as gap paper: press and hold the FEED key, do not let go, and start the machine at the same time. When the orange and red lights flash alternately, let go.

When the printing label is black label paper: press and hold the FEED key, do not let go, and turn on the machine at the same time. When the green and orange lights flash alternately, let go.

c) Press the FEED key, and the normal paper output is the height of one label. and stop at the normal tear position.

The most common problem with TSC printers is the deviation of the printing position. The user should pay attention to the first printing or printing different sizes of labels, first to adjust the size of the label required, otherwise the printing position will be offset. In fact, label size adjustment is very simple. TSC printers of various models are equipped with automatic adjustment function. Users only need to press the FEED paper measuring key on the panel, and the printer will detect the size of the label by itself to ensure the accurate printing position.

Another common problem is that the backing of the label is too thick. The printer's sensor cannot detect the size of the label. When encountering the above situation, the user should choose the label with thinner bottom paper. Of course, the effect of choosing imported label paper is the most ideal, and it can greatly reduce the printing damage caused by poor label quality.
