The print head is one of the most important parts of the zebra printer. It is a consumable and generally has a life span of about one year (depending on the frequency of printing). There are 8 or 12 heating elements in the 1MM length of the print head of the common bar code printer, and the width of the heating element inside is very small. The broken needle of the print head will seriously affect the scanning effect of the bar code, and the broken needle of the print head should be replaced in time.

Cause analysis of broken needle zebra printer:

1. Dust on the surface of the label paper;

2. The surface of inferior label paper or carbon tape is uneven;

3, usually the use of inferior label paper or carbon tape needs to increase the print head temperature, in order to print clearly, and high temperature is often caused by the print head is easy to break and shorten the service life of the print head;

4. The label paper dropped on the ground is covered with dust but rolled back for use;

5. The width of the carbon tape should be slightly wider than the label paper, because the edge of the label paper is very sharp and will cut the print head, so do not use a size narrower than the label paper in order to save the carbon tape;

6. The rubber roller under the print head of the barcode printer is not clean, and there are many protruding impurities that cause wear on the print head. In general, the above problems will cause the print head to be damaged, so be sure to pay attention when using it, because the print head is broken, it will not be able to print labels, and it will take hundreds to thousands to replace a print head;

7. Electrostatic electricity will only break down the print head and cause the print head to break the needle.
