Release Time:2012-06-13

According to foreign media reports, recently NCR Corporation launched a technology that allows people to use smart phones to withdraw money at ATM ATMs without having to take out the bank card in their wallets, which greatly speeds up the withdrawal and brings convenience to people. When the customer comes to the ATM to withdraw money, open the NCR application and enter the four-digit PIN code of the bank account number on the smart phone touch screen. When the PIN is accepted, the app displays all bank accounts associated with the customer account.

At this point, the customer can choose whether to withdraw money from a checking account or a savings account. After selection, the customer needs to select the withdrawal amount on the smart phone touch screen. It will have some preset number of withdrawals, users can also enter the number they want to take.

NCR Corporation Launches Withdrawal Scanning App

After the withdrawal number is selected, the customer needs to click the scan button on the application to turn on the camera on the smartphone, and then scan the QR code that appears on the ATM screen. Finally, the user can successfully withdraw cash. At the same time, customers can get a smart phone electronic receipt.

According to NCR, the entire process takes only 10 seconds. If you need to wait in line to withdraw money, then the waiting user can complete the previous steps in the smart phone in advance, and when it is his/her turn, you only need to scan the ATM machine to withdraw the money. For the bank, the ATM software system only needs to display the QR code on the screen, and there is no need to purchase new hardware equipment. NCR said that this technology can also greatly improve the security of withdrawals, because users no longer need physical debit cards, so criminals can not collect debit card numbers through the card reader side recorder (ATM Skimming Device) to carry out illegal activities.
